Reflexology

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a natural therapeutic treatment that compliments and enhances chiropractic and other healing therapies, working together to achieve the best results for our clients. The work of reflexology is to help balance the systems of the body and harmonize the entire body.

Reflexology promotes good health, relaxation and restores balance to the body in such a gentle, non-invasive manner which has no adverse side effects.  We simply encourage the body to heal itself. Reflexology can be performed on everyone.  It is not required to have a condition to benefit from reflexology.

Reflexology recognizes the vital role of feet in health and healing and aims to emphasize that if you take care of your feet, they will take care of you. The foot is a tremendously important part of our bodies and can tell us so much about the health of the person. The feet are under constant physical pressure. Tension and stress through friction and repeated trauma, causes blockages that impinge on muscles and nerves. Taking good care of the feet through regular reflexology treatments will help to keep the feet strong and healthy.

How Can You Benefit From Reflexology?

The body is so easily thrown out of balance by stress, diet or negative thoughts. The imbalances are due to blockages in the flow of energy throughout the body. When working on the reflex areas of the feet, imbalances can be detected and by treating these areas, the body can be brought back into balance and consequent better health. Pressure is applied to the feet using thumb, finger and hand techniques to specific spots on client’s feet to improve circulation, relax tension and help normalize body conditions naturally, and promote better health and well-being. One reflexology session can stimulate more than 7,200 nerve endings located on the foot. By stimulating the nerve endings of the feet, through application of pressure and touch, we send messages along the nerve pathways to the various organs. This helps to balance the energies within the body.  Once the body is completely relaxed by reflexology treatment, healing the body can finally begin.  Circulation is improved during a reflexology session and stress is lifted, allowing the body to feel rejuvenated and revitalized after your treatment.
